Review of
Elle 18 color pops matte lipstick- Grape riot:
This
is my first lipstick from a well-known brand. Actually I had bought it just to
try but after using it I liked it very much and bought more shades from this
range. The lipstick comes in an all-black plastic bullet. The cap has a girl
face printed on it and at the bottom of the bullet the shade name is printed.
Since it is opaque you have to open the lipstick every time to check shades if
you have more than one lipstick from this range. Or you could memorize the
shade and its corresponding shade name J J
The
texture of the lipstick is creamy and it glides on the lips smoothly. The
lipstick settles to a creamy matte finish. It does not dry out the lips. The
lipstick doesn’t feel heavy and I actually forget that I’m wearing a lipstick. It
is that light. It takes a minute to set to a matte finish and lasts for about
two hours on my lips. After that reapplication is a must. It doesn’t survive
meals or drinks. The colour pay-off is good and when it fades it leaves a nice
tint on the lips.
The
product is cheap and is suitable for beginners. It doesn’t cost much. So I’d
give this lipstick a double thumbs up!!
How
do I rate it? 3/5.
Thumbs up
for:
Cheap
and good.
Good
pigmentation.
Creamy
matte texture.
Glides
on lips smoothly.
Easily
available.
Suitable
for makeup beginners.
Thumbs
down for:
It
doesn’t last longer than two hours.
Opaque
packaging.
No
ingredients list.
Conclusion:
Although
the lipstick has its cons, I really like this lipstick for its colour pay-off
and it is budget friendly. You could buy 10 lipsticks from this range for the
same price of a single lipstick from some other foreign brand. I’d give this
product double thumbs up and would recommend this to all. Thank you. Meet you
again with another review.
