Today I’m going to review a product from our very own Chennai based brand Eyetex. It is a well-known brand in Tamilnadu. Back in the days all moms used to adorn their babies with the eyetex kajal. The brand, few years back launched their new makeup line “Dazzler” and I’m going to review one of the products today.

Product claims: Eyetex Dazzler gives you water resistant, thicker, softer and separated lashes without clumps or flakes.

Review of Eyetex Dazzler Mascara Black:

The product comes packed in a cardboard packaging which has black, beige and white accents to it. The description, price and all other product details are printed on the flipside of the package. The mascara itself comes in a black rectangular plastic tube with reducing thickness. The screw on cap is attached to the mascara wand. The brand name is printed in cute golden accents on the body of mascara tube. The cap closes nicely and doesn’t spill or leak in the bag. Overall it is a travel friendly packaging.

It has a normal, regular spoolie which does the job. The spoolie coats the lashes well and also separates it. Coming to the texture of the mascara, it is thick and gooey in the tube. But when you apply it to your lashes it doesn’t clump your eyelashes. It has a weird smell but I don’t mind it. It is really really light weight, dries quickly and keeps the lashes soft. Some mascara tends to stiffen the lashes. But this particular mascara keeps your lashes soft.

The colour payoff is good enough. Although I won’t say it is jet black, but decent black mascara. One single swipe deposits good amount of product to your lashes. Two to three coats give good defined lashes without making it messy.

The product claims to be water resistant. Say, you splash your face with water, the mascara stays. But if you rub it will smudge and gives you racoon eyes. The staying power is good till five hours and then it fades. I have sensitive eyes but the mascara doesn’t cause any irritation or makes my eyes watery.  The mascara curls my eyelashes and gives it a dolled up look. It also holds the curl till you remove it. Since it is really thin, it is easy to remove with a good makeup remover or coconut oil.

It is not water proof. But then water proof mascara are loaded with harmful chemicals. So it is not a con for me.

It has a weird smell.

Conclusion: I’m all praises for this mascara because it performs well even though it is a very cheap product. This Eyetex Dazzler mascara is perfect for light or ‘no makeup’ makeup looks. It enhances your eyelashes without making it obvious. It is pocket friendly. So I’d recommend this to makeup beginners, college goers and budget buyers.
