Eye: Sensitive eyes with slight dark circles
Hi everyone,
Kajal is the only makeup item which almost every girl uses in her daily life. For me, it is an indispensable item without which I do not step out of my house. I started wearing kajal when I was in 9th standard and there is no looking back ever since. This kajal is my first purchase from the coloressence brand. Coloressence is a growing cosmetic brand in India which has many ranges of products when it comes to colour cosmetics. They have a personal care brand known as Nature’s Essence. Let’s get into the review of the kajal and see how it fared.
Price: INR125/- and has a shelf life of 2 years.
Product claims and ingredients: This unique ayurvedic formula is soft and soothing to the eyes. The added ingredients like trifla, camphor, and almond oil helps in improving vision and brighten the eyes for a stunning look.
Review of Coloressence bridal kajal:
The kajal comes packed in a matte black cardboard box which has the description, price and other details printed on it. I have lost the outer packaging. The kajal comes housed in a lipstick bullet which is of metal and the outer body and cap is of matte black plastic. The cap closes with a click and does not open in the bag. Therefore it is a travel friendly packaging. The cap and the body of the bullet are sturdy and do not break if it is dropped accidentally. The bullet revolves up and down smoothly without any problem.
The kajal is soft and applies smoothly on the waterline. Even single swipe deposits a dark black colour on the waterline. It is the darkest dark black kajal for me. I had used Eyetex twist up kajal and Lakme kajal before this one. I find all the three of them to be same in terms of colour pay off. After I apply it to my waterline it stays for more than 8 hours or until I remove it. It smudges badly and I have the habit of rubbing my eyes which makes it worse. It has a typical kajal smell to it.
I have sensitive eyes so it waters every time I apply a kajal but it isn’t irritating my eyes. To remove this kajal you would need a good oil based cleanser to wipe it off completely. I use good old coconut oil for removing the kajal because it is gentle to the eyes, nourishes the eye area and also gets the job done without any struggle.
How do I rate it? 3/5.
Thumbs up for:
Intense black colour kajal.
Single swipe gives deposits good amount of kajal.
Glides smoothly on the waterline.
Soft texture of the kajal.
Nice travel friendly packaging.
Twist up bullet works smoothly.
Lasts until you remove.
Thumbs down for:
Smudges badly.
Removing the kajal is such a task.
Conclusion: Coloressence bridal kajal is an average to good dark kajal. I had already purchased this for the second time and would like to try some other brands. For those whose want an herbal kajal with good colour pay off I’d recommend this kajal. What do you think about this brand and the product? Do you find my review useful? Let me know in the comments. Thank you.
