Skin type: normal to dry skin
Skintone: dusky deep skin tone with slight pigmentation
Hi ladies,
VLCC is a trusted cosmetic brand in India. Some of their products are really good and some of them are not!! I had previously reviewed the VLCC depigmentation serum which was quite good. So, when my mom bought this face scrub I was intrigued to use it. Let’s see how it fared.
Price: INR 200/- for 80 g.
Product claims: removes black heads and rejuvenates skin. Suitable for all skin types. It has shelf life of 3 years.
Ingredients:
Description: This remarkable product exfoliates, cleans and refreshes the skin. Indian berberry extract make this exfoliator apt for all skin types that help in removal of dead skin cells and blackheads there by leading to regeneration of newer ones.
Method of use: apply on clean skin, leave for 2-3 minutes, then massage gently for 3-4 minutes. Avoid sensitive skin near eyes. Rinse off using lukewarm water.
Review of VLCC Indian Berberry face scrub:
This face scrub is a part of skin defense line by VLCC. The scrub comes in a transparent inverted tube with the product name and all the other details printed on it. The tube comes with a white flip cap and the opening dispenses the right amount of product when squeezed. Since the tube is transparent it is easier to keep track of how much product is left in the tube. The tube is medium sized one and it doesn’t take much space in your bag. The flip cap closes with a click and you don’t have to worry about the product leaking.
The scrub is beige in colour with tiny exfoliator particles in it. The product has a very pleasant smell to it which is not overpowering. The product is slightly thick and I use a drop or two of water to loosen the product to spread it on my face and neck. The exfoliator particles are very tiny and they are mild on the skin. Even though the exfoliator particles are very tiny it exfoliates the dead skin nicely and effectively.
I use it every alternate day and follow the instructions mentioned on the pack. My skin looks smooth and glowing after I wash this scrub off. The glow remains in my skin for the next two days and I definitely like it. The texture of my skin has improved greatly with the usage of this scrub and it gives me the “inner glow” kind of glowing. It doesn’t dry out my skin despite the clay content of the product. Instead it nourishes and rejuvenates my skin and I don’t feel the need to use an moisturiser after.
The amount of product showed in the swatch is enough to cover my face and neck. The product is so thick that a little goes a long way and the tube lasts me for two months. Since I don’t have blackheads I cannot comment on how effectively it removes the blackheads. But, I am so happy with the performance of the product that I am currently on to the second tube. I’d definitely repurchase this particular scrub again and again. Actually, I have found my HG scrub.
How do I rate it? 5/5.
Thumbs up for:
Simple and nice packaging.
Thick consistency.
A little goes a long way.
Mild exfoliators.
Exfoliates the dead skin.
Nourishes and rejuvenates the skin.
Gives an amazing glow.
Thumbs down for:
Nothing.
Conclusion: The product does all it claims and I am pretty happy with its performance. For me the product itself is nourishing enough but I’d recommend dry skinned beauties to follow it up with a good moisturiser. Finally, I have found my HG face scrub. What is your HG face scrub? Have you come across or used this vlcc indian berberry scrub? Would you try it? Leave your comments below. Have a nice day.
